Equipment Performance Evluations (EPEs)

We verify all of the x-ray equipment safety items that the state will inspect for, not just the minimums.

The lack of a timely EPE is the most commonly cited x-ray violation in Texas.

An EPE verifies that the x-ray output accuracy of your x-ray equipment is within Texas regulatory limits.

Texas requires EPEs to be completed every 4 years for dental x-ray equipment, and every 2 years for medical radiographic equipment.  We provide comprehensive EPE testing for Radiographic, IntraOral, Panoramic, Cone Beam CT, and Cephalometric x-ray machines.

Quality Assurance for Digital X-Ray Sensors

Texas regulations require you to maintain an image quality program to verify that the image quality of your digital sensors has not degraded. This includes Radiographic, IntraOral, Panoramic, Cone Beam CT, and Cephalometric digital sensors.

Your QA program is required to have:

  • Defined intervals for the QA.

  • Defined QA procedures.

  • Any necessary x-ray phantoms.

  • Records of the QA test results.

Contact us for complete QA testing, programs, and records for all your sensors / detectors.
